BDBD is Colossians 3:12-14

Love should be the premiere emotion guiding my actions. Much of modern media counters this. The media heroes today often act out at least one of these attributes; rudeness, disdain, meanness, harshness, and impatience.
One of the reasons the heroes of today draw in the money is because we also act out with these and have some guilt because of that. So we idolize an imaginary person who displays these dark emotions and yet does good. They make us feel good about ourselves. They justify dark feelings and actions we know we have and believe we cannot control and sometimes don’t want to stop.
Rather than looking for reinforcements to make me feel better I should trust in Jesus’ power, love, and forgiveness and seek to express love towards others, especially if they don’t deserve it. I can learn from Jesus. He sent the Spirit to enable me to do what otherwise I cannot or don’t want to do.
