Jesus is God (15, 19). He created everything (16,). He created light. He created the sun, the stars, and the planets. He created the earth. He created trees and flowers. He created birds, reptiles, bugs, and mammals. He created me. Jesus sustains all these, including me to this very day (17).
Jesus created his church, his congregation which is his body (18). The church includes all those who call on his name. We are each unique and connected. We function as he, the head wills and coordinates every day and every moment throughout the centuries. He made me a member of his body. He made a place for me within his church.
Jesus died and rose from the dead (18). Through these I was reconciled to God (20). I will rise from the dead as he did. I will live eternally with God and in God through Jesus. Now this is something to live for.
